2 mins or less

Making playlists is one of the joys in my life. Once the theme and title of the playlist is cemented in my mind, things usually unfold effortlessly. One song leads into another and all of a sudden, I’m not longer domesticated into time- I enter this realm where the music I believe to be perfect for this playlist takes centre stage.

A playlist I created recently titled ‘2 mins or less’ is a compilation of short songs that mean a lot to me. Travelling through several different genres, these 25 pieces of music really take the listener on a journey. Of course, making a playlist and then sharing it publicly can lead one to think that I’m convinced I have a fairly tremendous taste of music. This may be true. However, I honestly make them to help myself and others in the future take a break from their daily stresses and lose themselves in a carefully designed combination of tunes. I sent this playlist to 4 or 5 of my friends, and when 3 of them replied with what I’ll describe as ‘ecstatic appreciation’ it reminded me how good it feels to help people in any way I can.

In a very similar way to this podcast, every time we receive a message from listeners, it uplifts us. There are so many ways to help people and I often get bogged down by the ways I can’t help the people around me rather than what I can do. So, I felt that I should share this playlist and I hope that it resonates with more people. P.S. – if you enjoy please feel free to check out other playlists of mine such as ‘They gon’ say I’m in my feelings’ and ‘Emotional bangers’.
